Selection & Class Placement Process

  • A lottery system will be used if there is more demand for a class than there is space available.
  • An acceptance letter will be emailed to you (or sent home with your child if no email address is given) approximately one week after the regular registration period ends and only if your child has been accepted to a program.
  • If a program goes to a lottery and your child does not secure a spot in a class, we will email you a waitlist letter notifying you that your child is on the waitlist for that program in case a spot opens up.
  • If you have been waitlisted and you indicated a 2nd choice program at the time of registration, you will be automatically enrolled in this class and sent a acceptance letter will be emailed.
  • Every effort will be made to place students in their preferred class, but please be aware that we cannot always accommodate every request. We work hard to provide every child with a placement in at least one program.
  • Special Consideration: Students who were placed on a waitlist for a class last session will have priority placement for that particular class. *A registration form for each student is still required.*

Financial Aid

Limited financial aid opportunities are available for those who qualify.  Please indicate your request at the time of registration. If approved and accepted into a class, financial aid is available for one class per child per session.

Standards of Behavior

  • We want to ensure that all students participating in the before and after-school enrichment programs enjoy the experience. In order for this to happen, it is expected that all students will conform to regular Claremont Immersion classroom and school rules and regulations while attending a program. The providers are all experienced Instructors and will use accepted classroom management techniques to allow misbehaving children to adjust. If a child continues to have difficulties, he or she will be removed from the class and be placed with the On-Site Programs Coordinator who will decide if and when to return the child to class that day. The On-Site Programs Coordinator will also inform the parents about the situation.
  • If a child is removed from a class a second time, that child will be withdrawn from that class for the remainder of the session. The School will be informed of this decision. No partial refunds will be given in these situations. We look to all parents to support our class providers so that all children can enjoy the after-school classes.

  • Certain behaviors will not be tolerated.  These behaviors may include, but are not limited to: consistent disruption in class; any inappropriate physical contact (i.e. hitting, kicking); blatant disrespect toward the Instructor or other students; a refusal to listen to Instructions; the use of inappropriate language; and/or destruction of property.
  • Here at Baroody Camps, we want to foster a learning environment where all students feel safe and secure. With this being said, any incidents of bullying including, but not limited to: name calling, assault of any kind, verbal and nonverbal threats, throwing objects, cornering other students and/or intimidating behaviors, taunting, discriminatory statements or behavior, or exclusion from activities will result in the first and only warning. After the first warning, any future behavioral issues will result in immediate removal from the class for the remainder of the session. Baroody Camps will not offer any partial refunds in these situations. Enforcement of this policy is at the discretion of Baroody Camps and their partners.
